Volunteers needed for Bass Lake Woodlands and Washago outdoor ice rinks

Volunteer to support active, healthy communities
Severn is seeking volunteers for the Bass Lake Woodlands Park and Washago Community Centre outdoor rinks. Training is provided. The outdoor rinks are volunteer-dependent, meaning that they can't exist without the help provided by members of our community.
Volunteer duties would include:
- shoveling snow from the ice surface
- watering (flooding) down the rink
- ensuring the skating surface is in overall good condition
- reporting ice conditions to Township staff

Notice of road closure for the Cumberland Beach Santa Claus parade
The Cumberland Beach Santa Claus parade is scheduled for Sunday, December 1 from 2:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. The event will include a closure of Azcona Avenue (Buena Vista Drive to Cumberland Road) and Cumberland Road (Azcona Avenue to Bayou Road) from 1:45 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. If you have any questions or concerns about the road closure, please contact the Customer Care Assistant.

Notice of winter parking restrictions

A reminder that winter parking restrictions will be in effect from December 1 to March 31. Parking is not allowed on any road between the hours of 12:01 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. Vehicles may be ticketed or towed regardless of snow clearing operations and weather conditions. Visit: severn.ca/parking.

Winter parking restrictions
Although the snow has been slow to arrive, we appreciate that many residents and others have already avoided parking on the streets. A reminder that winter parking restrictions will be in effect from December 1 to March 31. Notice of road closure for Town Line on November 27 for emergency railway repairs

Notice of road closure
ETS Infrastructure will be completing emergency railway crossing repairs on Town Line from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 pm. on Wednesday, November 27.
There will be no through access on Town Line one kilometre north of Southorn Road. The ETS submitted traffic plan is included below for reference. The detour will include Southorn Road, Dunns Line, and Upper Big Chute Road.
