Closure of Division Road West for emergency road repair
Division Road West (Wainman Line to Fairgrounds Road) is currently closed to traffic due to unsafe road conditions. As of Tuesday, April 8 at 7:00 a.m., no through traffic will be permitted due to significant digging to facilitate the replacement of a culvert under the roadway. The road will remain closed until further notice. Read the notice.
Township of Severn has cancelled the State of Emergency declaration as of Friday, April 11. The State of Emergency was initially declared on Wednesday, April 2, at 4:30 p.m. under the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act as a result of the severe impacts of the ice storm and forecasted weather. The Significant Weather Event declaration remains in effect to ensure public safety.

Two roads remain closed as of April 9 at 11:00 a.m. due to downed power lines or for scheduled road work.
Roadways that remain closed as of April 8 at 11:00 a.m. are those that have downed power lines and are awaiting clearance from Hydro One, or are undergoing planned or scheduled road work. Once Hydro One has cleared the power lines and declared the area safe, Township staff will move in to clear the debris.
