Second Warming Centre now open at the Coldwater Community Centre

Township of Severn has opened a second Warming Centre at the Coldwater Community Centre (11 Michael Anne Drive) in addition to the Warming Centre at the Washago Community Centre (4361 Hamilton Street). Both Warming Centres will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. daily until further notice. Individuals and families looking for a warm space to charge their devices (priority for medical devices), access restrooms, or get a free warm drink can drop by as needed.

Reminders about visiting the Warming Centres:

• charging stations will prioritize medical devices
• please bring refillable mugs or containers for your beverages
• only service animals may enter the Warming Centres
• recreation programming is cancelled and the gym and floor spaces are for respite only

Our Administration Centre (1024 Hurlwood Lane) is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday and is available for individuals looking to charge their electronic and medical devices. 

Those needing overnight relief can continue to use the Relief Centre at the Orillia Recreation Centre (255 West Street South, Orillia). Those wishing to stay the night are required to register at the Relief Centre by 9:00 p.m. For additional information about the Relief Centre, please visit orillia.ca.
