Dog Licences

If you own a dog in Severn, you must buy a dog licence per our Regulate Dogs and Kennels By-Law. The dog licence will last for the entire lifetime of your dog and you'll only need to purchase the licence once. You can only have a maximum of four dogs per household in Severn.

How to apply

Please complete and submit a Dog Licence Application.

You can also print the application and drop it off at:

• Township of Severn Administration Office at 1024 Hurlwood Lane in Severn from Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• Ontario SPCA Orillia Animal Centre at 467 West Street North in Orillia from Monday to Friday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. or Sunday, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

You can also apply by mail:

1. Make your cheque out to “Township of Severn”
2. Include a self-addressed stamped envelope
3. Enclose your completed application, cheque and self-addressed stamped envelope and mail to:

Application fees

Dog tag fees:

• $75 for a dog tag
• $15 for a replacement dog tag

Seasonal residents

If you're a seasonal resident and have a dog tag for your primary address, you don't need to buy another tag from the Township of Severn.
