Township of Severn has hired Civica Infrastructure to to develop a Servicing Master Plan (Plan). The Plan will be completed in accordance with requirements of the Municipal Engineers Association (MEA) Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (October 2000, amended in 2007, 2011, and 2015).
The Plan will include a complete technical and asset performance analysis to identify service gaps and future water, wastewater, and stormwater service needs. The Plan will provide recommendations on how provide the needed level of service in response to the projected growth of the community over the next 30-years.

The notice of study completion will announce the completion of the project and invite stakeholders to review and comment on the final Plan.
Opportunities for public involvement in the project will be provided throughout the study. Two Public Information Centers (PICs) are planned as a part of this study. The first PIC will be held to present the project information, current servicing scheme, areas of improvement, etc., and receive public input prior to evaluating alternatives. The second PIC will include the assessment of alternatives and presentation of the preferred best solution.

How long will it take to develop the Plan?
The project duration will depend on the schedule, the potential impacts of the project, and the level of consultation required. The project is expected to be completed within 18 to 24 months, but it can take longer.
What happens after the approval of the Plan?
After the final Servicing Master Plan has been approved, the project will proceed to the implementation phase, which includes the detailed design, review, evaluation, and possible construction phases of the water, wastewater, and stormwater services for Severn.
