Closure of Division Road West for emergency road repair
Division Road West (Wainman Line to Fairgrounds Road) is currently closed to traffic due to unsafe road conditions. As of Tuesday, April 8 at 7:00 a.m., no through traffic will be permitted due to significant digging to facilitate the replacement of a culvert under the roadway. The road will remain closed until further notice. Read the notice.
Ice Storm Response
Severn continues to respond to the impacts of the ice storm, working around the clock to coordinate the emergency response and ensure public safety. Information is available to help our residents in need. Visit the Ice Storm Response page.
Township of Severn has cancelled the State of Emergency declaration as of Friday, April 11. The State of Emergency was initially declared on Wednesday, April 2, at 4:30 p.m. under the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act as a result of the severe impacts of the ice storm and forecasted weather. The Significant Weather Event declaration remains in effect to ensure public safety.
