Public skating schedule

Thanks to the generosity of local businesses and organizations, public skating at the Coldwater Community Centre (11 Michael Anne Drive) is free of charge for the month of March.

Sunday free skates run from 12:30 p.m. to 1:50 p.m., and March Break free skates are scheduled daily from Monday, March 11 to Friday, March 15 from 1:00 p.m. 2:20 p.m.

Notice of road closure

Lakeside Drive (approximately 25 metres north of Beckett Place to south of Park Road) will be closed on Wednesday, March 6 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for sewer connection. 

There will be no through access at 2893 Lakeside Drive

Severn, Ontario: On Wednesday, February 28 Mayor Burkett and Council were honoured to recognize the 150-plus years of collective service of the Cranney Family to Severn's Fire and Emergency department. This request was brought to Council by Heather (Cranney) Breckles. 

Members of the Cranney Family served both the former Township of Orillia which eventually became the Township of Severn in 1994, and others moved on to various communities.
