The 2025 water rate is $224.23 per quarter or $896.90 per year. Any use over 68 cubic metres (m3) is billed at $2.96 per m3.
The 2026 water rate is $232.08 per quarter or $928.31 per year. Any use over 68 m3 is billed at $3.06 per m3.

Township of Severn provides water and sewer services to residents and businesses in many of our communities. In all other areas, individual drinking water wells and septic systems are the responsibility of the homeowner. The 2025 sewer rate is $223.07 per quarter or $892.29 per year. Any use over 68 cubic metres (m3) is billed at $3.47 per m3.
The 2026 sewer rate is $233.11 per quarter or $932.43 per year. Any use over 68 m3 is billed at $3.63 per m3.
The Water and Wastewater Rate Study establishes our water and sewer rates.
The study also includes a long-term Water Financial Plan aimed at funding:
- current and future operations
- capital expansion related to growth
- rehabilitation and eventual replacement of existing systems.
To cover these expenses, adjustments to the water and sewer rates are necessary. An updated study is conducted every few years.
