Our Administration Office (1024 Hurlwood Lane, Severn) and facilities will be closed on Monday, May 20 for Victoria Day. We will reopen Tuesday, May 21 at 8:30 a.m.

Coldwater Cemetery update: Burial and interment services now managed by Sanderson Monument

The monuments in the Township of Severn's Coldwater Cemetery located at 12 Craddock Street represent family traditions, regional symbols and the lifestyles of our community. Monuments range from early sandstone memorials to large rough blocks of granite and intricately carved headstones.
Effective May 2024, Sanderson Monument has been contracted to manage all fees, burial and internment requests at the Coldwater Cemetery.

Notice of Mooring Restrictions released by Parks Canada

Parks Canada is advising the public that a Notice of Mooring Restrictions came into effect on May 1, 2024, related to the mooring of floating accommodations on the Trent-Severn Waterway.
The notice will allow Parks Canada to exercise greater management control over floating accommodations. These new measures are in line with recent changes to the Province of Ontario’s regulations. Decorative banners (retired) available for purchase: Preserve a piece of Severn's visual history

In response to requests made by members of the Severn community, Council has approved the sale of decorative street banners that were removed and retired in 2023.
Community stories and complementary visuals bring neighbours together and contribute to a pride of place. Considering that the retired banners celebrate unique and historical locations across Severn, there has interest from our community to preserve these visual representations of our local landscape.
