Road restrictions will be lifted on April 15, 2024

The Seasonal Load Restrictions By-law restricts loads on most Township roads to a maximum of five tonnes per axle in the spring starting on March 1 and are in effect until around the end of May.

This restriction is put in place to protect our roads when they may be weakened by excess water in the road base and can then be damaged by heavy vehicles.

Notice of disposition and sale of unopened road allowance (1478 Balkwill Line)

In accordance with the Township of Severn’s Sale of Land Policy and the Municipal Act, S.O. 2001, S.O. 2001, c. 25, the Corporation of the Township of Severn hereby gives notice that the Township proposes to stop up, close, declare surplus, and sell the unopened road allowance abutting 1478 Balkwill Line. Severn proclaims April as Earth Month and encourages community involvement

Help keep Severn green and growing

Severn, Ontario: Township of Severn has proclaimed April 2024 as Earth Month and is again taking part in Pitch-In Week, Canada's largest environmental improvement campaign. Pitch-In Week is a great opportunity for residents, students, or community groups to get together and clean up our community. 

In 2023, 583 volunteers filled 116 yellow Pitch-in bags, removing over 100 pounds of litter from our local roads, trails, and waterways.
