County launches expanded Bursary Program to support local students and families

About the Bursary Program
The County of Simcoe is committed to working with member municipalities to support the pursuit of higher education. Through the County’s long-standing Education Bursary Program, twenty-one $3,000 bursaries are available to County of Simcoe students attending a post-secondary institution in Canada. One bursary is guaranteed for a resident of each of the County of Simcoe’s sixteen member municipalities.

Our Administration Office (1024 Hurlwood Lane, Severn) will be closed on Monday, February 19 for the Family Day holiday. We will reopen Tuesday, February 20 at 8:30 a.m.
You can visit our Administration Office during our regular hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. for in-person service.

New this year, the Council special project grant was developed by members of Council in an effort to provide financial support for individuals or organizations that are leading community-focused initiatives to enhance the vitality, sense of pride, and overall quality of life in Severn.
The Council special project grant offers support to beautification projects or projects that benefit the Severn community or the municipality as a whole.

Municipal Class Environmental Assessment to be completed for proposed upgrades
Township of Severn has hired Tatham Engineering Limited to undertake a Class Environmental Assessment (Class EA) for proposed upgrades to the Coldwater Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) and the Main Sewage Pumping Station (SPS), located on Upper Big Chute Road.
