Notice of road closure
Correction: The parade will start at 10:30 a.m. (not 11:30 a.m.). The service is scheduled to start at the Cenotaph at 11:00 a.m.
There will be rolling closures on Michael Anne Drive, Gray Street (George Street to Coldwater Road) and Coldwater Road (Gray Street to Michael Anne Drive) in Coldwater on Monday, November 11 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. for the Coldwater Royal Canadian Legion Remembrance Day parade.

The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit (SMDHU) is informing residents and visitors to the Township of Severn that laboratory analysis has confirmed the presence of a blue-green algae bloom impacting the north-west shoreline of Tea Lake in Severn (in the area of Lavis Lane and Upper Big Chute Road).

It is with sadness the Township of Severn has learned of the passing of former Mayor and Councillor Ron Stevens.
Mr. Stevens started his 43-year municipal service career in 1978 as a member of the Orillia Township Council, where he served as Councillor and then Deputy Reeve until 1994. When the new Township of Severn was formed in 1994, Ron was elected as the first Mayor.
