Registration now open for Severn's Junior Fire Fit Challenge

Severn's Junior Fire Fit Challenge engages local youth in fire safety

The Junior Fire Fit Challenge features an obstacle course for kids aged 5 to 9 that shows them what it would be like to be a firefighter.

The fun, hands-on challenge is designed to:

• challenge the participants both physically and mentally
• encourage integrity and perseverance
• build self-confidence 
• educate youth about fire prevention and fire safety

Each junior firefighter will team up with a Severn firefighter to complete the course....

Revised: Well project ongoing in Bass Lake Woodlands

CORRECTION: Well construction for the Bass Lake Water Supply and Distribution system remains ongoing. Project updates will continue to be provided. 

However, the water ban has been lifted and seasonal watering restrictions are now in effect starting August 12 until November 1, 2024 for the Bass Lake Woodlands subdivision. Water for Bass Lake Woodlands comes from three ground water wells which service approximately 450 residents of the community.

Notice of road closure

Earl Haid Avenue (Upper Big Chute Road to the Severn Falls dock) will be closed from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 3 for the Severn River Association of Property Owners (SRAPO) 45th annual Regatta.

If you have any questions or concerns about the road closure, please contact Public Works. 

About the SRAPO Regatta

All are welcome to attend the annual celebration that includes swimming races, games, merchandise, and a barbeque lunch. Severn Fire and Emergency Services
