About the project
Township of Severn is undertaking culvert rehabilitation on Foxmead Road approximately 220 metres east of Uhthoff Line (between Uhthoff Line and Burnside Line).
This culvert rehabilitation will require a full closure beginning Monday, October 21, 2024 and is anticipated to take 4-6 weeks for completion.
This work will include:
- rehabilitation of the existing culvert
- installation of new retaining walls
- reconstruction of the roadway including a new guiderail system
Road access and service impacts
A full closure at the project site is required for this work. There will be no through access on Foxmead Road between Uhthoff Line and Burnside Line. Detour signage will be in place utilizing Uhthoff Line and Thorburn Road as an alternate route.
Emergency Services (Fire, Paramedics, and Police), County of Simcoe, and the Simcoe County Student Transportation Consortium (SCSTC) have been advised of this closure. If your child is impacted as a result of this closure the SCSTS will reach out to you directly. You can also contact them by visiting simcoecountyschoolbus.ca.
Waste management services and curbside collection will continue to be provided by the County of Simcoe for the length of the project in coordination with the project contractor.
