About this project
Township of Severn is undertaking asphalt resurfacing and culvert replacements in the area of Brodie Drive and Carlyon Line starting May 6, 2024. This project was awarded to Georgian Paving, a division of Miller Paving Limited. The work is anticipated to be completed by Fall 2024.
The investment of $2.6 million in this infrastructure project will improve the quality of the road for drivers and will also include the addition of new paved shoulders to increase the safety and comfort of the cycling route.

Impacts to road users and residents
To facilitate the asphalt resurfacing and road crossing culvert replacement, daytime lane restrictions with a single-lane detour through the work area will be managed using signage and flag persons.
Access to private driveways and entrances will be maintained. At the end of each workday, the road will reopen as two lanes. At times, the work area will be gravel before paving which will result in temporary uneven road surfaces.
