Accessory Buildings
You need a building permit to construct a garage or other accessory buildings on your property. Accessory structures are regulated by the Township's Zoning By-law. Accessory buildings include, but are not limited to:
- sheds
- non-commercial workshops
- garages
Apply for a permit
You need to complete and submit a building permit application in order to add an accessory building to your property.
You can review our Building Permit Guide for information on applicable laws and fees, and to access our Building Permit Application checklist.
All permits should be submitted by email to the Permit Coordinator. Digital drawings are preferred.
Fees
Building permit fees vary depending on the scope of your building or renovation project. We will calculate all building permit fees after reviewing the application. You will not be issued a building permit until you have paid all permit fees.
