Festival and Event Grant
If you belong to a community group, not-for-profit, or charitable that would like to hold a festival or special event open to all residents of Severn, you may be eligible for a festival and event grant.

You can also print the application and submit it by email or drop it off to the Administration Office located at 1024 Hurlwood Lane in Severn.
Submission deadline
All grant applications are due by September 30 each year.
Eligibility
Any group, not-for-profit, or charitable organization that would like to hold an event or festival open to all residents of Severn is eligible to apply for a festival and event grant.
The following uses and groups are not eligible:
- school, athletic or private group trips, expenses or endeavours
- team uniforms and apparel
- memorials
- fundraising events
- political, religious or faith organizations
- appointed boards and committees
- local ratepayer organizations if the grant is for the sole benefit of private members
Funding requirements
Our Grants Requests Policy outlines the funding requirements for festival and event grants:
- we offer a maximum first-time grant of $5,000
- funding will decline by 25% each year following the initial request
- any promotional materials or advertising must recognize the contribution of the Township
- funding contribution of the Township must be recognized at the location of the festival or event
- funded festivals and events must be available to all Severn residents
- a final report providing details of how the funds were spent is to be submitted at the conclusion of the festival or event
- we retain the right to ask for additional information
